Residenza & Open Studio – Alex Dorici e Yari Miele

The comparison between Swiss and Italian realities, the common thread of this project, is perfectly expressed in the residency of artists Alex Dorici (who lives and works mainly in Lugano) and Yari Miele (who lives and works mainly between Cantù and Milan, with frequent forays into Switzerland).
This residency of theirs is the first step in a work that will continue in the following months and will conclude with an exhibition in September.
The work of both will start with the use of nautical ropes from the Gottifredi Maffioli company in Novara (which supports the project) to shape a site-specific installation that will interact with the architecture of the House, curated by Marco Tagliafierro.
Open Studio:
On Wednesday, May 18, the artists will open the doors of the studio where they are working in residence to the public. As part of House of Switzerland, an event dedicated to spreading Swiss culture in Italy and building relationships between the countries, Casa degli Artisti is hosting a number of Swiss artists in residence along with Italian artists, with the intention of remarking on the collaboration and unity of purpose between the two countries.
